London-based trio Rambling Valentines developed from a musical collaboration between Glyn Hawke (guitars, vocals), Bronwyn Ormsby (vocals) and Trevor Hyett (Mandola, Mandocello and Banjo). Listen RAMBLING VALENTINES

London-based trio Rambling Valentines developed from a musical collaboration between Glyn Hawke (guitars, vocals) and Bronwyn Ormsby (vocals). They were inspired by an ability to blend their voices to create inventive, even seductive harmonies and a shared love of acoustic music. The addition of multi-instrumentalist Trevor Hyett (banjo, mandola, mandocello, tenor guitar) completed the line-up, enabling us to express some of our favourite songs through the use of blended harmonies, a range of warm-toned acoustic instruments and to explore understatement and space in our arrangements.

As with the tasteful and highly compatible blending of Bron’s and Glyn’s voices, so the instrumental accompaniments are designed to support the vocals, again in a complementary way; hence the range of instrument choices.

We enjoy reinterpreting songs by artists such as Laura Marling, K. T. Tunstall, Gillian Welch, Joni Mitchell, Leann Rimes, Sandy Denny plus a few songs chosen from moments and places in our lives. We play live regularly around London and the South-East and look forward to meeting you at a gig very soon.
